The monotony of life affects everyone, mostly relationships, and we are always on the look out for ways to reignite that missing spark. And, well, surprising your partner with a candlelight dinner at home, leaving little gifts around the house for them to find, or sending flowers to her at work – these are all done to death.
So what new can you do to bring back the excitement? Well, according to a study conducted by the University of Michigan, couples who drink alcohol together last longer than those who don’t!
No harm in trying, right?
This surely will be fun. Maybe tonight when you sit for dinner with her, pop open a bottle of wine and enjoy being together.
Dr. Kira Birditt from University of Michigan says, “We’re not sure why this is happening, but it could be that couples that do more leisure time activities together have better marital quality.” So basically it all narrows down to the fact that are you spending quality time together? If the answer is yes, you’re safe, and if it’s no, well…just go home and get drunk with your partner!
But too much of everything is bad. This study has nothing to do with the quantity of alcohol you are consuming. So drink in control, you wouldn’t want want to become an addict. That too is unhealthy for your relationship, and you know that. You’ve seen relationships and marriages break because of awful drinking habits.
Remember, the key to a happy relationship is spending time together doing the things that you both love.
Let’s get drunk, baby!
