Ravichandran Ashwin picked up six wickets as India clinched the five-match series against England with a victory by an innings and 36 runs on the fifth day of the fourth test at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

It was the 24th five-wicket haul for the world’s top-ranked Test bowler and the seventh 10-wicket haul after the 30-year-old also took six wickets in England’s first innings.
England, who resumed on 182 for six, were bundled out for 195, 33 minutes into the final day.
The fifth and final Test will be played in Chennai from Friday with the hosts leading 3-0 in the series.
Virat Kohli said he was running out of words to describe Ashwin, but Twitter sure is not tired of talking about the spinning maestro.
Master at the height of his powers. Just admire @ashwinravi99 for now like you did @imVkohli for the last couple of days.

The ball is @ashwinravi99‘s paintbrush at the moment. He can paint the canvas he wants. It is a feeling to savour

The team came in for a lot of praise but more importantly the excellent crowd at Wankhede was applauded as well with the team taking a lap of honour.

It is very rare that a team scores 400 and loses by an innings; especially in India where 1st innings runs are gold!

The victory lap was a lovely thank you note from the Indian team to the Mumbai crowd.

Best bit about this Indian team is ability to comeback hard when pushed a bit. Not even playing at potential, with injuries. Brilliant!

A good Test, a decent pitch and more than most, a fantastic crowd creating brilliant atmosphere. Wankhede should get a Test every year.

Wankhede is like Kohli, now even the Test performance is making the all time greats like Eden Gardens & Chepauk look pale

Well played, India. Showed tosses and pitches don’t matter when you play as good as India have. Clinical. 😊👍👏👏🇮🇳🇮🇳

Let’s be fair – if all the catches had been taken, England would have lost in three days. #IndvEng
