In another great instance of the internet doing its actual job, a 19-year-old gets attention from the Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju after a video of him covering 100 meters in 11 seconds goes viral.
The video was originally shared by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who had also tagged Kiren Rijiju, requesting the ministry to extend support.

A prompt reply from the sports minister assured that the boy – Rameshwar Gurjar – will get proper training at an athletics academy.
Pls ask someone to bring him to me @ChouhanShivraj ji. I’ll arrange to put him at an athletic academy. https://t.co/VywndKm3xZ— Kiren Rijiju (@KirenRijiju) August 16, 2019
Thank you, Kiren ji.— Shivraj Singh Chouhan (@ChouhanShivraj) August 16, 2019
Rameshwar was not running in a competition but the length of the video suggests that he completed the run in 11 seconds. Which is brilliant, to say the least as the current world record is 9.58 seconds – set by none other than Usain Bolt.
