Cheteshwar Pujara joined an illustrious list of players on Monday at Eden Gardens during the ongoing Test between India and Sri Lanka.
Pujara became the ninth batsman overall to bat on all five days of a Test match. He’s also the third Indian batsman to do so. The other two Indians are current India coach Ravi Shastri and ML Jaisimha.
Pujara batted all 5 days of the Test and scored 74 runs (52 & 22) – the lowest aggregate among the 9 players to bat all 5 days. Previous lowest: 94 by Jaisimha (20* & 74)#IndvsSL
