Chennai Super Kings became the first team to qualify for the play-offs as they saw off Rajasthan Royals by 12 runs to go on top again.

A lone hand from Brendan McCullum (81 off 61) on a very slow Chennai track gave the hosts a good total of 157/5 amidst a terrific bowling spell from Chris Morris.

Rajasthan, in reply, never looked comfortable as their batsmen struggled against the accuracy of Ravindra Jadeja (4/11) and Mohit Sharma (3/25).

CSK would now want to remain in the top 2 as it will give them an extra chance to make it to the final. For Royals, winning their last game against KKR is an absolute necessity.
