After publicly criticisng MS Dhoni earlier in IPL 2017, Rising Pune Supergiant’s owner Sanjiv Goenka’s brother Harsh Goenka was seen applauding the wicketkeeper-batsman’s explosive innings against Mumbai Indians that helped Pune reach their maiden IPL final.

Dhoni’s quickfire 40 off 26 balls against MI – an innings which included five sixes – helped RPS add 41 runs in the last two overs. The Steve Smith-led side which put up 162 runs on the board restricted Mumbai to 142-9 in 20 overs to clinch the match.

Goenka was earlier trolled on Twitter by Dhoni fans for sharing that Steve Smith had overshadowed the former captain and justified team’s decision to make the Australian the captain of the side.

On Tuesday, Goenka was seen applauding Dhoni innings at the Wankhede. He also praised India’s former skipper on Twitter.

Dhoni’s batting blitzkrieg set Twitter on fire.

Dhoni has reached his 7th final in 10 seasons of IPL. The most by any player.
