Thursday, the Supreme Court come down hard on the BCCI (yet again) for failing to comply with Justice RM Lodha committee reforms.
BCCI’s defiance in implementing the guidelines has not gone down well with the court, and an ultimatum of sorts was issued today by Chief Justice TS Thakur and his bench. Failing to issue an undertaking that the reforms will be implemented, will see the court issue orders against the BCCI top brass, ending in the possible removal of the President Anurag Thakur.
On a day that BCCI’s Thakur cannot have enjoyed, Supreme Court’s Thakur became a social media legend of sorts for his epic responses to BCCI’s counsel Kapil Sibal, the former Congress minister.
Justice Thakur was at his witty best as he took on the BCCI and his comments went viral on social media.
Do BCCI officebearers have special skills? Anurag Thakur played in one Ranji match b4 becoming BCCI president? CJI Thakur @the_hindu
