If things go according to plan then India and Pakistan will soon be seen contesting in a bilateral Test series after a long gap of eight years.

PCB chief Shaharyar Khan has proposed a three-Test, five one-dayers and two Twenty20 match tour to be played in UAE and the Indian board has accepted the offer.

But both boards are waiting for a nod from the Indian government as India have not contested their troubled neighbours in a bilateral series because of political reasons.

However, that is not stopping the organizers in UAE from starting their preparations. India last faced Pakistan in Tests way back in 2007 though the two teams meet often in ICC tournaments.
