Going into the final stages of the tournament, it is considered good for an undefeated team to have a challenging game. India have had two in a row!

After struggling a bit against Ireland, India once again had a fight up their sleeve in their last Pool B game against a spirited Zimbabwe side on Saturday (14th March) at Eden Park. In the end, India managed to win by 6 wickets.

Batting first, Zimbabwe looked down and out at 33/3. However, from there on, it was the Brendan Taylor show!

In his final game before international retirement, Taylor dominated all the Indian bowlers, particularly off-spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja en route his knock of 138. Contributing at the other end with a half century, Sean William helped Zimbabwe reach a fighting total of 287/10.

Starting their chase in similar fashion, India lost their openers early and were reeling at 92/4. But the middle order rose to the occasion.

Suresh Raina, in his blistering knock of 110 not out, played short balls and slower ones with sound technique, while captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni kept his good form with an unbeaten 85. The duo put on an unbeaten stand of 196 to take India to 288/4 and set up a 6-wicket win.

Dhoni finished the match with a trademark towering six!
