The 2020 IPL season, which is expected to begin in the last week of March, will see defending champions Mumbai Indians take on last year’s finalists Chennai Super Kings, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

A month before the auction event of the 2020 Indian Premier League, teams engaged in a window to trade-off some players and rope in a few from other teams. 


The IPL 2020 auctions is set to take place on December 19 in Kolkata.

Delhi Capitals started with the proceedings by roping in Ajinkya Rahane from Rajasthan Royals for the 2020 IPL season. A bigger buy, Delhi also welcomed Indian spinner R. Ashwin from Kings XI Punjab. 


In return Delhi traded-off Mayank Markande and Rahul Tewatia to the Royals. Delhi also traded-off bowling all-rounder K. Gowtham to Punjab.

1. Chennai Super Kings – Chaitanya Bishnoi, Sam Billings, Dhruv Shorey, David Willey and Mohit Sharma. 


2. Mumbai Indians – Yuvraj Singh, Evin Lewis, Adam Milne, Jason Behrendorff, Barinder Sran, Ben Cutting and Pankaj Jaiswal, Beuran Hendricks, Rasikh Salam and Alzarri Joseph.

8. Kings XI Punjab – David Miller, Varun Chakravarthy, Sam Curran and Andrew Tye.
