Jaipur Traffic Police tried to be (over)smart with their hoarding in the city warning people not to cross traffic lines during red-lights, and their move has backfired.

They used Jasprit Bumrah’s image of overstepping during the no-ball he bowled against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final. The batsman in question was Fakhar Zaman, who then went on to score a glorious century which helped Pakistan win their maiden Champions Trophy title.

Needless to say, it was a ‘costly’ mistake – the same term that Jaipur Traffic Police used. Their banner said “Don’t cross the line. You know it can be costly”.

And Bumrah, who got a lot of flak for it, isn’t really happy with the move.

Jaipur Traffic Police immediately sent out three apologetic tweets after reading Bumrah’s response…
