It’s now nine defeats in 12 matches for Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore. They sit bottom of the table after their latest loss, when they failed to chase down a target of 139 against Kings XI Punjab.

They’ve got just five points now, and playoff hopes were extinguished a long time back. And while Kohli himself couldn’t explain why their star-studded batting lineup – including AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle – has been failing, Bollywood actor (and film critic) Kamaal R Khan provided his understanding of the team’s performances.

“Today RCB is in the bottom of IPL 2017 just because of arrogance of Aashiq Virat Kohli and looting corrupt nature of Bhagoda Vijay Mallya,” he tweeted – showing everyone why he’s Twitter’s favourite punching bag.

Kohli has been out of touch since returning from a shoulder injury sustained during the India vs Australia Test series, but the rest of the side hasn’t been doing well at all. Their losses have been embarrassing at times – with KKR bundling them out for 49 earlier in the season.
