Openers Parthiv Patel (59) and Lendl Simmon (71) gave MI a rollicking start and they were well on their way to achieve 200 but good death bowling by Punjab restricted their score to 172/3.

Punjab’s batting has been the biggest let down for them this season and they once again failed to impress as Lasith Malinga (2/31) never allowed them near the Mumbai total.
Rohit Sharma’s men are peaking at the right time and have the momentum in their favour, a couple of more performances like this and they’ll make it to the qualifiers.
