Nike’s new ad, ‘Dream crazier’ is a celebration of woman power in sports and how women have changed the meaning of a domain considered a prerequisite of men.

The ad was released on Sunday during the 91st Academy Awards.

The ad is headlined by Serena Williams and also features trailblazing woman athletes who’ve shattered the glass ceiling of what women can do if they set their mind to it.

According to CBS Sports, it features the U.S. women’s national soccer team, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, former WNBA superstar Lisa Leslie, San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon among others.

The ad starts with how women are labeled ‘crazy’, ‘dramatic’ or ‘hysterical’ for even the most basic of things…

… from dreaming of equal opportunity,

to being called ‘unhinged’ for standing up.

Being called ‘hysterical’ for getting angry, ‘dramatic’ for expressing emotions and what not.

But then, this is how feminism as a movement started. It was ‘crazy’ for its time. It took us a long time to change as a society and reach here.

The ad revisits how a woman running a marathon or boxing was considered ‘crazy’.

It also brings into highlight Serena’s story of winning 23 grand slams, having a baby and then coming back for more.

But we’re not done yet. There’s still so much to change, and un-label as ‘crazy’, and till that happens, fine, we’re crazy.

The ad has Twitter bowing to its ‘crazy’.

We’re just gonna keep doing it. Until it becomes the norm.
