Royal Challengers Bangalore rocked Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets (D/L method) in a rain-curtailed match to storm to second position in the league with 15 points.
The game started as a 11-over per side match and the in form David Warner (32-ball 52) and Moises Henriques powered SRH to a lethal 135/3.
However, constant rain changed RCB’s target to 81 from 6 overs. And Chris Gayle (35 from 10) and Virat Kohli (44 off 19) took them over the line.
A win for SRH would have taken them into the play-offs but now they are stuck at 14 points. The battle to finish in the top 4 will be decided in the next couple of days.
