Sania Mirza is pretty unhappy about how the Indian media focussed on her tax issues more than her entry into the semifinals of the ongoing Qatar Open.
Mirza was issued a notice by the Central Board of Excise and Customs over allegedly evading tax on the Rs 1 crore she received from the Telangana government. However, her representative said that the money was not intended as payment towards Mirza being the state’s ambassador, but provided as a ‘training incentive’.
The media has been covering the issue extensively and Sania vented her frustrations on Twitter
