Team India’s bowling blues won’t end anytime soon as pace spearhead Mohammed Shami is most likely to miss the upcoming Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka series.

The 25-year-old has started the rehabilitation process and is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore after undergoing a knee surgery.

Shami suffered injury while representing India at the World Cup and completed the tournament in pain. He missed the IPL and the recently-concluded Bangladesh series as well.

Shami was missed severely in the series loss against Bangladesh but the UP pacer is highly unlikely to play a part before India’s series against South Africa in October.
