After his knock of 73 in India’s World Cup opener against Pakistan, Shikhar Dhawan scored the 7th century of his ODI career to power India to 307/7 vs South Africa.

The Indian opener hit 16 boundaries and 2 sixes as he scored 137 runs off 146 balls. He shared century partnerships with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane.

The century bodes well for Dhawan who was terribly out of form coming into the World Cup. This is his first century in 3 months, and incidentally his knock of 137 is also the highest by any batsman against South Africa in a World Cup encounter.
