Much to the delight to Sourav Ganguly fans, the former cricketer was formally chosen as the head of BCCI earlier today.

It was just a formality, though, as Ganguly had no opposition for the post.
However, Ganguly is expected to stay in office only for 9 months for now because the new BCCI constitution makes it mandatory for the officials to undergo a cooling off period after 6 years and Ganguly has already been serving as the CAB president for the same period.
