Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, the first Indian to sign a 100-crore endorsement deal with a single brand has signed another mega-bucks deal with MRF. 

According to a report in Economic Times, the flamboyant batsman has renewed his bat sponsorship deal with MRF for eight more years for an astronomical sum of 100 crore rupees. This is Kohli’s second 100-plus sponsorship deal, earlier he had signed a 110-crore deal with Puma for a similar period.

Apart from Kohli, MRF also sponsors Shikhar Dhawan and South Africa skipper AB de Villiers. In the past, they have also been associated with Sachin Tendulkar, Steve Waugh and Brian Lara.

Kohli was the sole sportsperson from India to feature among the world’s 100 highest paid athletes in the latest list released recently by Forbes.

The 28-year-old, has been ranked 89th on the 2017 Forbes list of ‘The World’s highest paid athletes’ with a total pay of $22 million, which includes $3 million from salary and winnings and another $19 million from endorsements.
