In the bowling department, Australia’s Mitchell Starc and New Zealand’s Trent Boult finished as the joint top wicket-takers with 22 scalps each.

India’s top wicket-taker was Umesh Yadav with 18 wickets, with Mohammed Shami close on his heels with 17.

The highest total of the World Cup was Australia’s 417/7 versus Afghanistan while the highest individual score was Guptill’s 237* against West Indies. The best individual performance with the ball was New Zealand pacer Tim Southee’s 7/33 against England.
