A 17-year-old youth was on Thursday, hacked to death by members of an unidentified gang who severed his head and threw it inside a police station in neighboring Tamil Nadu.
The body of the deceased, identified as Swethan, was dumped in a lake bed in Bahoor village of Puducherry.
An unidentified gang involved in chain-snatching and bike stealing is suspected to have killed the teenager for informing the police about the members, reports NDTV.
In a CCTV footage, two bikers can be seen throwing the head into the police station before taking off. Police of both the neighboring Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are probing the incident and two suspects based on the footage have been arrested while hunt for a third suspect is still on.
