There have been several incidents when Apple Watch has saved someone’s life by warning them about potential health risks due to which they were able to get the treatment in time.

In the latest incident, an Apple Watch saved the life of a 79-year-old veterinarian from Waco, Texas by warning him about atrial fibrillation.

According to CBS Austin, Dr Ray Emerson’s watch notified him about his irregular heart rhythm and potential atrial fibrillation. After receiving the notification Dr Emerson immediately headed to his doctor at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.

His doctor suggested an EKG followed by a surgery to correct the irregular rhythm. According to the report, Dr Emerson says he’s sold to what the watch can do. He received the watch as a gift and now he thinks that wearable technology is priceless.
