Let me tell you something that will make you roll your eyes and say, “How typical.” Like any millennial, my life and soul rests in my phone (and food). I’m not going to tell you how much, except that I once sleep-texted my friend and didn’t remember that I had until he brought it to my attention (I didn’t say I’m proud of my addiction).
So, naturally, one of the things that irks me is constantly switching tabs on my phone to multi-task. Not only is it completely draining, but it also distracts me from… uhh… work. And now that I use online transactions for everything, I’ve often found myself wishing for something easier that does not require me to close whatever I’m doing only to come back again.
Thus, when ICICI bank added the SmartKeys feature in their iMobile App, I thought to myself, “Maybe this will help me convince people I’m not ignoring them when I accidentally go offline.”
Even their TVC hilariously captures the undying love millennials have for their smartphones.
The feature basically allows you to transfer money without closing the app you’re already using.
All you need to do is long press the globe icon next to the space bar in the keyboard to bring up the change keyboard menu and select ‘ICICI SmartKeys’.
This is especially helpful for people like me who have friends that pester them for money, till no end.
Likewise, if it ever hits you like a wrecking ball that you need to pay your electricity bill or send money to your landlord while you’re using a messenger or a social media app, you can do so without having to close the app.
And, let’s face it, you never want to close your apps.
No matter what.
