It's still a couple of months until we see the Samsung Galaxy S11, however, the rumour mill has already started churning out a lot of information about the company’s 2020 'S' series lineup. It will surely be the direct competitor to Apple's iPhone 11 series and it is said to be under development by the code name Picasso.
Cameras might be one of the biggest highlights of the phone.
If cameras are what you look for in a smartphone, you will love the next Samsung flagship. The latest leak by TigerMobile reveals that the phone might come with a triple front camera sensor setup. You might be wondering, why is it so exciting? Well, if we combine the new leak info with the leaked image of the phone, that number adds up to SEVEN.
However, don't take our word for it as we are just shooting in the dark. But if the leaks are true, this phone might become the phone you need and will be a game-changer in mobile phone photography world.
The phone could ship with a periscope-style camera sensor with 5x optical zoom and a whopping 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. The phone could also feature a Deep Fusion technology, we saw on iPhone 11 Pro, to further enhance the results.
Here's a rundown to what else you can expect from the next Samsung flagship.
Samsung Galaxy S11 may come with a design change.
Talking about the phone's design, the S11 will come with the same punch-hole design that we saw on S10 series, however, holes for the selfie cameras will be smaller this time. Moreover, there might be an increase in the number of selfie cameras.
We may see a new and improved display this time.
According to 91Mobiles, the upcoming S11 may come with an in-display fingerprint scanner that will work on a larger surface area. Samsung is reportedly working on bigger Active Area Dimension for the fingerprint sensor on the upcoming flagship series.
This time the sensor may measure 64 square millimetres which is up from 6 square millimetres on the previous Galaxy S10.
This time we may see a 5nm chipset in the Galaxy S11.
The upcoming S11 may be powered by a 5nm Exynos chipset. Another report by 91Mobile says that Samsung has completed the production of EUV-based 5nm FinFET process technology. If the reports are true, this will bring a revolution in the mobile phone processing capabilities.
Samsung may launch the phone in the third week of February 2020.
The launch of Galaxy S11 is reportedly scheduled for the third week of February, with February 18th said to be the likely launch date. This might also be the actual date because the brand is usually known to launch the phones just before Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled from February 24th to February 27th next year.
This is all we know about the upcoming S11. What do you think about the next flagship and did the amount of cameras seems exciting to you?
