Xiaomi has reportedly confirmed that the company will launch its first 5G phone, Redmi K30, in December this year. If this turns out to be true, we will witness the successor of Redmi K20 Pro, which looks promising.

However, a recent Weibo post by Xiaomi’s Vice President, Lu Weibing, suggests that the Redmi K30 will make its debut in 2020. So, it’s possible that the company launches the phone in the second half of December but it goes on sale in January.

Another post on Weibo also confirms a few details about the phone. According to the teaser, the Redmi K30 will pack dual punch-hole selfie cameras. According to XDA Developers, the Redmi K30 is expected to come with a whopping 120Hz refresh rate display panel. 

It also revealed that the phone might come with new 60MP Sony IMX686 sensor and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

If all these leaks are true and the company manages to fit the phone in sub ₹30,000 price category, it will be a game-changer for Xiaomi and rejoice for the consumers at the same time.
