In 2012, filmmaker David Gelb stunned us with the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi, the exquisite story of Jiro Ono, arguably the best sushi maker in the world. Now, the director is back with a Netflix original documentary series about some of the most ambitious chefs in the world.

The 6-episode series, called Chef’s Table , will dedicate an hour each to chefs Dan Barber (Blue Hill, NYC), Niki Nakayama (N/Naka, Los Angeles), Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, Italy), Magnus Nilsson (Fäviken, Sweden), Ben Shewry (Attica, Australia) and Francis Mallmann (Restaurante Patagonia Sur, Argentina).

Here’s a first look/trailer for the show which starts on April 26th.

Damn. Now I’m hungry.
