On October 31, when Brian Nuttel went for a hike, he came across something totally crazy and eerie! The almost spooky footage of the forest ground moving in Apple River in Nova Scotia will be the most unnatural thing you must have seen till date.

Tremor from under the earth?

Is it the beginning of a sinkhole, or a marsh or is it the wind?

There has to be an explanation for this and Brian, in a Facebook comment tried to wear away our confusion with this theory:

“I believe the larger trees are doomed to blow down but are currently spared, the smaller trees around them help hold each up, as the wind pushes the trees into one another. The punishing prevailing winds have taken their toll on the side hill, the roots have loosened and the mossy ground from the once shaded forest floor are givIng away. soon to be toppled over. The ground is dry on the side hill, all gravel with shallow top soil(4 to 6 inches) for roots, not wet, no underground rivers.”

We can’t be sure if it is a sinkhole moving below or plain hallucinat ion, but maybe it is time for us to leave the forests!
