For the uninitiated, Stella McCartney, OBE is the daughter of former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney’s and photographer and animal rights activist Linda McCartney. She is an accomplished fashion designer and has her own label .
Stella’s mother, Linda passed away in 1998, three years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. So, as a tribute to her late mother, Stella McCartney has come up with a new bra for double-mastectomy survivors.
The bra, named Louise Listening after Linda’s middle name, comes in super soft rose cotton and delicate lace detail. It also has a front zip and helps in the healing process. The bra costs £85, as reported by Daily Mail .
All proceeds from the bra will go to the Hello Beautiful Foundation .
In an interview to Telegraph, McCartney said “We wanted to bring something feminine and beautiful into a bra that is taboo”, explaining the reason behind the creation.
She also explained that the bra is designed for women who go through a major physical trauma while battling breast cancer and that it is her attempt to make them feel beautiful again.
