First editions of literary greats are valuable collectibles and and so is the case with the tale of the boy wizard, more so because it contains a small typo.
As ITV reported, the list of required magical equipment young wizards and witches need to bring with them to Hogwarts, the school made a small error by mentioning 1 wand twice. That or they probably needed to emphasize that the wand is a mandatory requirement.
Only 500 copies out of the 4 million sold worldwide since 1997 have this error and are poised to sell for a fortune at Bonhams Fine Books and Manuscripts in London this November.
Sharp-eyed fans have called out the mistake but others were too busy devouring the book as fast as they could to notice the tiny error.

If your hardcover book has the print line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 and the name as Joanne Rowling instead of J.K Rowling, then it’s a first edition first issue copy and can fetch $40,000 to $55,000. Paperback first editions were scarce and can be sold for five figure amounts if it is in good condition.
