For the uninitiated, David Foster Wallace was an American writer who also taught English and creative writing as a professor. He was one of the most influential and innovative writers that ever lived. Infinite Jest (1996), The Broom of The System (1987), The Pale King (2011) and This is Water (2005) were some of his best-selling novels, till date. Some of his books even garnered national attention and critical acclaim. He was someone who knew every ‘literary’ rule and broke them all. He definitely raised the bar for other writers, however, he killed himself at the age of 46 after struggling with depression for almost 20 years. Here are some powerful quotes by him that will urge you to see life, in a whole new light.
