The last time a celebrity wedding function wasn’t happening, it was 2017.
I was more energetic then, more full of life. Now I am just tired.
Tired of scrolling through photos of celebrity shaadis, and one hundred thousand events that follow.
Things started with the high profile wedding of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja.
Now, we all know how that turned out!
There was mehendi, sangeet, shaadi and reception; and it was cool. All our weddings go on for a week. Nice. Great. Super.
But soon, it was the time for Deepika and Ranveer to get married.
We all anticipated it would be a grand affair, but no one expected it go on for soooo long.
Only if my weekends or hoildays were this long as Deepika and Ranveer every other day celebrations.

Here’s a breakdown of all the events from their wedding, that have happened till now.
Mehendi
Shaadi one according to Konkani traditions
Shaadi two according to Sindhi traditions
First reception in Bangalore
Party thrown by Ranveer’s sister
Second reception in Mumbai
Third reception in Mumbai
In between these, there were some appearances, and I am sure a few other parties we don’t know about.
Omg … are Deepika and Ranveer not done getting married yet? I swear they’ve had like 8000 receptions already…. This is one long ass wedding 🙄

Bhai, bachelor party and all bhi toh hui hogi?
Now, I am not hating on them. They can do whatever they want.
It’s just that, even as a person who is used to longish-weddings, I am amazed by their energy level.

And to be honest, just courage dude. Inhein darr nahin lagta itna socialize karne mein?
Deepika and Ranveer ke functions itne lambe chale ki utne time mein Priyanka and Nick ki shaadi bhi ho gayi.
Which brings me to the next topic- Priyanka and Nick ki shaadi.
Again, with two weddings and very many receptions across continents, it’s another endless celebration.
By the time their events end, Isha Ambani ki shaadi ho jaayegi.
Now, if we know anything about the Ambanis, it’s the fact that they don’t do things on a small scale.
So all of us can rest assured that if there is going to be a winner of the longest-shaadi, it will most probably be Isha’s.
Why? They have already had 4 events till engagement.
This is like a ‘wedding-ception’ going on over here.
You know what I mean? We have entered a (glittery) black hole, where there is no concept of time and distance. The only thing that matters is Sabyasachi ke designer motifs.
