Bollywood’s unforgettable music composer, Bappi Lahiri has managed to stay relevant even in today’s day and age. After giving us iconic hits like Jimmy, Jimmy and Disco DancerBappi Lahiri says he’s recently recorded 2 songs with Lady Gaga!

Yes, two duets, with her singing in English and me in Hindi in my inimitable style. We are now waiting for the release to be greenlit, hopefully by the year-end. I also collaborated with Akon two month ago. That song should also be out soon.

-Bappi Lahiri told Mumbai Mirror

While we wait for the year-end release, it’s safe to say that the gold-chain clad king of disco has become a phenomena overseas. The New York-based, The Martinez Brothers released a two-track production titled ‘Bappi‘ with the singer.

It features a remix of my superhit sog from Disco Dancer ‘Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy’. The British-Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A used the same song in her 2007 album Kala and, a year later, it was also there in the climax scene of Adam Sandler-film, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan.

We can’t wait to see what Bappi has in store!
