All of us have watched a lot of cartoons and laughed our asses off at all the lol moments. But have we ever spared a thought for some of the characters who seem to be out of luck all the time. The list is unanimous when it comes to identifying with cartoon characters for whom we have all felt sorry for at some point or the other. Here are 10 and I’m sure you wouldn’t agree more.

1. Scrat (Ice Age 1, 2, 3, 4)

It’s been ages (in fact 4 ice ages) and the poor thing still doesn’t have the acorn he’s been chasing since the first movie. We hope from the bottom of our hearts that Scrat gets it in the 5th instalment of the movie.

2. Tom (Tom and Jerry)

Even though he is the antagonist, all of us feel for Tom. After all, what good is a cat if he can’t get the better of a rat?

3. Wile E. Coyote (Road Runner)

I’m sure the scriptwriter wrote the scripts just to vent out his/her frustration. How else do you explain the total bias against Coyote?

4. Ed, Edd and Eddy (Ed, Edd and Eddy)

Even the Ambanis would have given up if they were to face as many failures as these youngs lads had to. For once, just for once, we want them to succeed.

5. Dexter (Dexter’s Laboratory)

What’s the point of being a genius if you can’t handle your annoying sister? All we can do is just pity the poor chap.

6. Elmer Fudd (Looney Toons)

“Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, I’m hunting wabbits”. Only that in this case, the hunter gets hunted always.

7. Daffy Duck (Looney Toons)

Put your hands together for the most unlucky duck in the world of cartoons.

8. Launchpad (Duck Tales)

His name is Launchpad for a reason. Because he can only launch his planes properly. He can never seem to land them.

9. Sylvester (The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries)

Sylvester’s condition is worse than Tom from Tom & Jerry. This cat is fooled by a cute, little birdie. Why does it always have to be the cats?

10. Dick Dastardly (Wacky Races)

True to his name, this guy is a dick. But even after scheming and resorting to his ingenious ways, he still has never won a single race in the history of the show. That’s just sadist, Mr Scriptwriter.

If only these characters were given their due. Sigh!
