“Of the people, by the people, for the people.” This philosophy is popularly interpreted by Indian politicians to mean, “Screw the people.” And screwed us they have, thoroughly and unapologetically, for the better part of 66 years filled with corruption, moral bankruptcy and blatant abuse of power. But if the Aam Aadmi Party’s performance in the recent assembly elections is any indication, the people have had enough. The common man has had enough.

Here’s Arvind Kejriwal, schooling politicians on the true meaning of democracy. We hope they’re taking notes.
