While JW Marriot is facing major unexpected backlash in wave of memes from the Netizens, a new tweet surfaced on Friday which revealed that Taj was offering complimentary fruits to all their guests.
After Rahul Bose called out JW Marriot, in a viral video for exorbitantly charging him Rs 442 for two bananas, Taj has made a generous gesture to offer a complimentary fruit basket to their guests.
A guest residing in Taj Santacruz tweeted a picture of the note with the caption, “Meanwhile, in the land of trolling JW Marriott….”

Another amusing part of the whole thing is that #JWMarriott levied 18% GST on the bananas, while fruits, vegetables and other essentials in raw form are exempt from the same.
Taj claims that a complimentary fruit basket has been a regular. Loyalists back up their claim.
