The rumour mills have been going crazy over the speculations about the much awaited Coldplay concert in Mumbai. It all started with the speculations about the date, then it went on to the ticket rates and a barrage of ‘kidney jokes’ followed it up.

Well, Coldplay has decided to make it official. Coldplay will be performing at the MMRDA grounds, Mumbai on 19th November.  The show is being put together by the Global Citizen Festival.

When it comes to ticket prices, please note that you can get them for free. It doesn’t mean that they are free but then you’ll have to complete certain tasks for that ‘free ticket’.

The Odyssey Online

Yes, it almost a musical version of Roadies. Except the fact that at the end you get to see Chris Martin perform.

Despite the rumours about astronomical ticket prices, an official announcement by Coldplay suggest that the Global Citizen Festival will follow the festival’s established format of providing tickets for free to fans based on signing up to become a part of Global Citizen and ‘taking actions in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns’.

So the first thing you can do is sign up to join the movement. The campaign will start from 12th September. According to Global Citizen Festival’s official website:

Every two weeks we’ll be focusing on a new issue and you’ll have the opportunity to take action and earn points. Each issue will have a variety of actions you can take — ranging from tweeting and emailing politicians to signing petitions. With every action you take, you’ll earn points and once you earn enough points, you can enter the draw. The available actions and number of points needed to enter the draw will change with every challenge, so keep checking in.

There is no confirmation about the different ‘tasks’ to be completed but this promises to be a lot of fun.
