Senile and forgotten, most aged parents are left in old-age homes where loneliness, anxiety and depression prey on them. Parents who’ve cared for us all throughout, are sent to the ‘elderly asylum’ where they spend the remaining years of their life in solitude, devoid of love and care.
HelpAge India came up with this heart-warming advertisement called ‘Dadi’ (directed by Sana Ahmad) which shows a typical Indian household sharing evening snacks. A small quarrel erupts, between the father & her aged mother and the video concludes with a heartening message.
