1. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga

The trailer of this new age romance just dropped and it looks like the romance with just the perfect blend of comedy, we’ve all been waiting for.

The film stars Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. We see Sonam’s character struggling with ‘her truth’ whereas her family is bent on getting her married to a boy. Amidst the mix of family drama, superb onscreen chemistry, and identity crisis, this film surely packs a punch.

2. Luka Chuppi

Starring our Rajjo AKA Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, Luka Chuppi revolves around the story of a television reporter who falls in love with a girl from Mathura. 

3. Student Of The Year 2

Starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, the film is all set to bring back the magic of fantasy college days. And with the news of Will Smith performing to a dance number, the film surely gets bigger and better.

 6. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is a romantic black comedy thriller starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra together again after Namaste England and Ishaqzaade. Arjun will play the role of a Haryanvi police officer, whereas Parineeti will be seen as an ambitious girl from the corporate world. In words of the director of the film, Dibakar Banerjee, ‘two Indias‘ will clash in the story line.

Based on the tradition of groom kidnapping still practiced in India, the film brings back together the jodi of Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra after Hasee Toh Phasee.

8. What Men Want

What Men Want is a remake of the 2000 film, What Women Want. The film stars Taraji P. Henson, Aldis Hodge, and Tracy Morgan. The plot revolves around the life of the character, Ali Davis, who gains the ability to hear men’s thoughts. Alright, looking forward to this concept.

The Hustle is a female-centric remake of 1988 film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It stars Anna Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, and the plot line follows two rival con artists.

10. The Rosie Project

The movie is based on a 2013 Australian novel of the same name. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, but the female lead is yet to be revealed. The story revolves around a genetics professor who struggles to establish a relationship with women, and to resolve the issue he comes up with a questionnaire.

12. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before Sequel

And last but not the least, our rom-com of the year gets a sequel. Though the release date is not finalised yet, we are waiting with bated breadth for this. Noah Centineo and Lana Condor did an official reveal for the sequel where we get a hint of a new character, John Ambrose, and a possible new angle in the film. Netflix’s teen romance is based on a novel of the same name, which already has a second part named, P.S. I Still Love You.
