Last year, YouTube user Sethward came up with a dark satire called ‘Start Objectifying Women’ and it’s doing the rounds on social media once again. On comment threads on other forums and sites, I’ve seen some people claim that it’s not funny, or the point the film tries to make gets lost somewhere. But I guess that’s the thing about comedy and satire – it’s subjective. Some think this video is pretty obvious – if you’re objectifying women anyway, why be so subtle about it?
