Defending his govt’s decision to render Article 370 ineffective, Home Minister Amit Shah today said that he has no doubts that this will end terrorism in Kashmir.

According to reports, Shah said,
I was firm that Article 370 should be removed…. after (scrapping) Article 370, terrorism in Kashmir will end and it will progress on the path of development,
The Home Minister said that he had absolutely no doubts about the consequences of his govt’s decision.

On Monday, the govt had decided to revoke the special status granted to Jammu & Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a recently held address to the nation, had assured the people of J&K, that better days and an era of development will soon begin the area.
