As of 2016, Donald Trump is the biggest source of inspiration to thousands of meme enthusiasts around the world. So much so that, his presidential candidacy for the US elections is the second most searched thing about him.

However, say what you may about him, you can’t ignore the fact that his immense popularity among the working-class voters might just fetch him the chair come January 20, 2017.

Why is it then that the front-runner of the US presidential elections is subjected to Internet trolls more than an Oscar-less Leo DiCaprio ever was. In this article, we try to understand the legend behind the mouth that is Donald Trump.

Trump has often been caught with his foot in his mouth for giving bold and controversial statements on just about everything under the sun. It’s almost as if he is on a quest to make his personal opinions government policy. In fact, the next potential President of The United States of America has some very interesting and well thought out action plans to rid the country of the evils it is facing today.

What Donald Trump says:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people”.

His solution:

No, literally. Read this:

For the first time in American Presidential election history, political parties are arguing over constructing a wall.

On his campaign slogan: Make America Great Again

The line of ‘Make America great again,’ the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody’s using it, they are all loving it.”

-Donald Trump, March, 2015.

Make America Great Again

– Ronald Reagan, 1980.

Got Trumped by a dead President, eh?

On Muslims

In December 2015, Donald trump proposed a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on”. Even the republicans were hesitant to back this statement. After facing severe backlash from all sides of the spectrum, Trump further strengthened his claim by saying his “Muslim” friends agreed with his statement.

And as expected, the Internet reacted to it in its own way.

On foreign affairs

This segment will have to be discussed under sub-points as Mr. Trump seems to have something harsh to say about everyone who’s not American.

For China: If elected as the President, Trump was quoted as saying, “Oh would China be in trouble. The poor Chinese.

However after further probing, this is what Donald Trump had to say about his Chinese counterparts:

Hey, I’m not saying they’re stupid … I like China. I just sold an apartment for $15 million dollars to somebody from China. Am I supposed to dislike ’em?

For The UK:

For India:

On Sunday, right before the Super Tuesday, Trump pledged to bring back jobs from India if elected.

They are taking our jobs. China is taking our jobs. Japan is taking our jobs. India is taking our jobs. It is not going to happen anymore, folks.

On Ebola

Trump had some unsavory words for Ebola patients coming to the US for treatment:

His angst isn’t just restricted to foreign nationals suffering from Ebola. He had also tweeted that US citizens who go to far away places to help and get diagnosed with Ebola must not be allowed back:

In a separate video he posted on Instagram, he was heard saying Stop the flights, now!

Stop the flights!

On his daughter

I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.

(On The View, March 2006)

Yes. He said that. And that’s something you can’t unsee.

On the media

While speaking at a rally in North Carolina, Trump mocked a New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski who’s suffering from Arthrogryposis that affects movements in his hands.

Although, Trump later refused making fun of the disabled journalist, but it had already been caught on the camera.

So, by now it’s pretty clear as to why Trump rules the world of Internet memes.

While these are just some of the controversial statements Trump has made over the years, his foot-in-mouth approach to everything promises to keep him trending on the Internet for years to come.

Hence, we leave you with some of the best Donald Trump memes that will have you in splits till the next time he says something out of his rear end.

God bless America!
