If you’re someone who looks forward to new movies being released every weekend, then October can be your favourite month this year. Here are the movies releasing this month:
1. Joker: October 02
Starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role, the movie brings the tragic origin story of one of the most loved supervillains, the Joker. The film has already earned rave reviews at international festivals and is being considered a must-watch for cinephiles and comic lovers.

2. War: October 02
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff face each other in this high-paced, action-drama directed by Siddharth Anand. If you’re a fan of the stars and high-speed action, then War may be worth a watch.

3. The Sky Is Pink: October 11
Based on the life of Indian author and motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, The Sky Is Pink is a biopic starring Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Zahira Wasim, and Rohit Suresh Saraf. Directed by National Film Award winner Shonali Bose, the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

4. Gemini Man: October 11
Starring Will Smith in the lead role, this action thriller chronicles the journey of an aging hitman on the run from his own younger clone. The movie also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong and is directed by Ang Lee.

5. Zombieland: Double Tap: October 11
The horror action zombie comedy is the sequel to Zombieland, and includes the original cast of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and Bill Murray

6. Laal Kaptaan: October 18
Starring Saif Ali Khan in a whole new avatar, Laal Kaptaan showcases a Naga Sadhu’s revenge quest. Directed by Navdeep Singh (of NH10 fame), the movie also stars Deepak Dobriyal and Zoya Hussain (of Mukkabaaz fame).

7. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil: October 18
Disney brings back Angelina Jolie as the horned fairy in the sequel to Maleficent, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The sequel takes us to Maleficient’s origin story and also stars Michelle Pfeiffer as the new Queen.

8. Saand Ki Aankh: October 25
Based on the life of the world’s oldest sharpshooters, sisters-in-law Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, Saand Ki Aankh is a biopic starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie also stars Vineet Kumar Singh.

9. Made In China: October 25
Rajkummar Rao and Boman Irani lead this quirky comedy based on finding a one-stop solution to sex problems – a ‘penis soup’. The movie also stars Gajraj Rao, Mouni Roy, Sumeet Vyas, and Paresh Rawal. Though, TBH, one of the most exciting bits about the trailer was spotting Taka aka Jeffrey Ho from Queen.
